Buyer guide 02

What to include in a custom knit accessory enquiry.

One checklist for hats, gloves, shawls and capes, knitted blankets and leg warmers. Step 02 lists the measurements that matter for each product.

01

Stock reference or new development?

For an existing catalogue item, quote the SKU, preferred colours and quantity. Ask the sales team to confirm current availability and dispatch; a catalogue entry is not an inventory guarantee.

For custom production, attach a reference image, sketch or sample and say what should stay the same and what should change. The custom-production MOQ and ready-stock quantities are separate questions.

Browsing first? Ready-stock references are listed for hats, gloves and shawls and capes. Knitted blankets and leg warmers are made to order.

02

Send the measurements that matter for your product.

For every product, also describe the material direction or intended feel, the colours, and your label, hangtag and packaging requirements. Mark anything undecided as “to be confirmed”.

Custom Hats
Head circumference, hat depth, cuff height and target wearer. A physical reference sample can also be measured. Pom-poms, embroidery or patches are confirmed at sample stage by material, size, position and attachment method.
Custom Gloves
Target wearer, palm width, hand length and cuff requirements, approved through a sample. Touch-screen yarn or grip treatments are assessed against the construction, target performance and price point.
Shawls & Capes
Size, neckline, openings, front construction, stitch, fringe and closures. Drape and warmth are balanced through yarn, density, dimensions and weight, then confirmed on a physical sample.
Knitted Blankets
Intended use (home, gifting or pet), size, weight and desired handle, balanced against target price and shipping cost. For pet blankets, also give durability, care and packaging requirements.
Leg Warmers
Length, circumference and how much stretch the top rib needs. Fit and hold are adjusted and confirmed through a fitting sample.
03

Make quantities, dates and documents specific.

The standard custom MOQ is 100 pieces, or 100 pairs for gloves and leg warmers. Give the total quantity and the split by style and colour, and ask how the minimum applies to that split.

Include the destination country and required arrival date. Keep sample approval, production completion and arrival separate: the factory reviews the brief before confirming a schedule.

If your programme needs certificates or traceability documents, list them too. A factory certificate covers a defined scope and period, not every product or shipment; see Elvuna’s certificate records.

Planning a matching set? Name every item. Yarn, colour, motifs, labels and packaging can be coordinated across hats, scarves, gloves and leg warmers.

04

Your enquiry, ready to start.

Copy this outline into your brief. Leave unknown items as “to be confirmed” instead of guessing technical details.
